The poster uses clear elements of the horror genre to sell the film to audiences. The dark blue and black colors create a cold, threatening mood that is typical of horror films. The close-up of a scared face with wide eyes shows fear and vulnerability, which is a familiar horror image. Shadows and low lighting hide detail, suggesting danger and the unknown. The large, bold title looks like a warning, which builds tension and fear. The mention of Blumhouse and the director reassures audiences that this is a serious horror film.

The text offers audiences familiar pleasures of the horror genre. Viewers can expect suspense, fear, and emotional intensity rather than light entertainment. The fearful facial expression promises moments of shock and psychological tension. The lack of clear story details creates mystery, which encourages curiosity. Audiences enjoy trying to understand what is happening and what the threat might be. Fans of horror will also enjoy the feeling of unease that lasts beyond the film.

Hybridity helps the producers maximize their audience by mixing genres. While the poster clearly signals horror, it also suggests psychological drama through its serious tone and emotional focus. The use of a respected director’s name appeals to audiences who enjoy thoughtful and meaningful films. This allows the film to attract both horror fans and viewers interested in social or psychological themes. By not relying on monsters or gore, the film feels more realistic and relatable. This wider appeal helps the film reach beyond a narrow horror audience.
